Wedding Ceremonies
With over 10 years of experience in the wedding industry, I bring both professionalism and a personal touch to every ceremony I create. My journey began as a wedding DJ, where I had the privilege of being part of hundreds of couples’ special days. Over time, that experience naturally evolved into becoming an Independent Celebrant, allowing me to play an even more meaningful role in a couple’s wedding.
As your celebrant, my focus is simple: to create a ceremony that truly reflects your love story, your personalities, and your journey together.
Unlike traditional ceremonies, a celebrant-led wedding gives you the freedom to design a moment that feels authentic to you. Whether you imagine something romantic and heartfelt, relaxed and light-hearted, or a ceremony filled with laughter and storytelling, we can create something completely unique.
Celebrant ceremonies are non-legal ceremonies, which means they are not restricted by the formal requirements that come with a legal marriage ceremony. Many couples choose to complete the legal paperwork separately at a registry office, allowing their celebrant ceremony to focus entirely on the personal, meaningful, and memorable moments shared with family and friends.
Because celebrant ceremonies are not bound by legal formalities or venue restrictions, your ceremony can take place almost anywhere from stunning countryside locations and elegant venues to intimate settings that hold special meaning for you.
I work closely with every couple, taking time to learn about how you met, what makes your relationship special, and the moments that have shaped your story so far. From there, I craft a ceremony that feels natural, meaningful, and memorable for both you and your guests.
My goal is always to ensure that when you look back on your wedding day, the ceremony is remembered as one of the most personal and meaningful moments of the celebration.

Ceremony Rituals
Many couples enjoy including a symbolic ritual within their ceremony. These beautiful traditions can add meaning, visual symbolism, and a special moment to share together during the service.
Scotland is rich with wonderful wedding traditions, many of which have been passed down through generations and continue to hold special meaning today. At the same time, modern celebrant ceremonies give couples the freedom to include traditions from different cultures, countries, faiths, or family backgrounds, allowing your ceremony to reflect the heritage and influences that are important to you both.
Some popular rituals include:
Handfasting
An ancient Celtic tradition where ribbons or cords are gently tied around the couple’s hands, symbolising their lives and futures being bound together.
Drinking from the Quaich
A traditional Scottish “loving cup” shared between the couple, representing trust, unity, and the sharing of life together.
Sand Blending Ceremony
Two different colours of sand are poured together into one vessel, symbolising two individual lives becoming one.
Jumping the Broom
A joyful ritual representing the start of a new life together and the crossing of a new threshold as a married couple.
There are many other beautiful rituals from around the world that can be incorporated, or we can create something completely personal and unique that reflects your own story, family traditions, and shared values.

Creating Your Ceremony
Every ceremony I create is completely personal to you. There are no templates and no recycled scripts. Instead, we take the time to build something that truly reflects your relationship and the journey that brought you together.
During the planning process, we’ll talk about your story how you met, the big moments that shaped your relationship, the small moments that made you fall in love, and what makes your connection unique. From there, I carefully craft a ceremony that feels genuine, relaxed, and meaningful.
It’s your story, your way.
